Halloween at Grazzano Visconti rhymes with terror and mediaeval fascination. On Thursday 31 October the attractive village of Grazzano Visconti is the setting for children's activities from early afternoon until evening.
The littlest ones - starting from 3.30 pm - can take part in alchemical workshops (magic potions, owlorigami and paper cut-out bats, varied witch equipment) in piazza del Biscione, organised by the Bottega di Mastro Gufo.
Later - at 5 pm - boys and girls (4 years old and above) will be involved in dark readings (fairy tales and stories taken from illustrated and pop-up books) proposed by the Giocolibreria Semola in piazza del Biscione.
The fearful readings will continue into the evening (9 pm) with "ghost stories" (for children from 7 years old and up). The groups will be taken to four suitable places in the village in a series of readings lasting about one hour.
Meanwhile in the restaurants and pubs of the village (Il Biscione, Taverna del Castello, Osteria Le Rondini and Osteria Caminetto) themed menus will be served with dishes dedicated to the evening of Halloween with its romanticism and magic.
At 9.30 pm (starting from piazza del Biscione) there will be guided visits "Owls and Lanterns" to the park of the castle (Bottega di Mastro Gufo).
The boys of the Consilium Medievale of Grazzano Visconti will enliven the party with fire spectacles, cauldrons, make-up and fancy dress, welcoming guests who will be invited to take part in the masked event.
Make-up artists will be available to paint your face, illuminated by the flames of the fire-eaters.
The event - free entry - will take place regardless of weather. In case of rain it will be held under the porticoes and loggias of piazza del Biscione.
