Pradovera di Farini – The Piva (bagpipe) of the Nure Valley
Saturday 2 August 2014
The Appennino Folk Festival makes a stop at Pradovera near Farini on Sunday 2 August 2014.
The appointment in the upper Nure valley is at 9.30 pm at Acqua Nera (1,100 m above sea level) in the splendid natural setting of the country between Pradovera and Coli.
The evening is a chance to immerse oneself in the folk music of the Piacenza Apennines thanks to the particular music of the ancient intruments and the voices of local singers who keep the tradition of their country alive.
Performing on the stage will be Andrea Capezzuoli (organetto), Giancarlo Galli (cantastorie from Lombardy), Keith Easdale (Scottish instrumentalist who will play the bagpipes and the tin whistle) and numerous local musicians who take part every year in the itinerant celebration of music and culture in the Apennines of the ‘Quattro Province’(Four Provinces).
