Didactic activities at the castle of Fulignano
The agriturismo at the castle of Fulignano has for some years successfully run courses for schools to improve knowledge of the land and its products and how they are transformed, in didactic activities designed to stimulate the curiosity of children, getting them to participate in the processing of the produce in a context of fun.

THE STORY OF GRAPES:

1st proposal: half day, cost 5.00 Euro each
- Visit the vineyard on the farm to learn about different varieties of grape.
- Methods of preserving grapes: 'verdea' table grapes, jam, grape juice and must.

2nd proposal: full day, with lunch on the farm: cost 13.00 Euro each
- Visit the vineyard on the farm to learn about different varieties of grape.
- Methods of preservation of the grape: "verdea" table grapes, jam, grape juice and must.
- 10.00 am tasting with tea and tart filled with grape jam.
- 11.00 am workshop with grape bread.
- 12.30 pm lunch with typical products, to be agreed with the teachers.
- At the end of the day participants will receive a gift of baked products from the farm.


THE STORY OF CEREALS:

1st proposal: half day, 5.00 Euro each
- Visit the farm
- history of the use of ancient varieties of cereals in cooking: spelt, whole wheat, barley and maize.
- 11.00 am workshop, biscuits made from three cereals

2nd proposal: full day with lunch on the farm, cost 13.00 Euro each
- Visit the farm
- history of the use of ancient varieties of cereals in cooking, spelt, whole wheat, barley and maize.
- 10.00 am tasting of biscuits made from the cereals with tea
- 11.00 am workshop, to be agreed with the teachers, choosing between: biscuits made from three cereals, wholemeal sponge cake, or sweet or savoury chisolini della nonna (fritters) made using olive oil.
- 12.30 pm lunch with typical local products to be agreed with the teachers.
- At the end of the day participants will receive a gift of baked products from the farm.


THE STORY OF FRUIT:

1st proposal: half day, cost 5.00 Euro each
- Visit the farm
- Discovering ancient varieties of fruit
- Blossom and harvesting of our fruit
- Methods of conservation: bottling in syrup and various kinds of preserve or jam.

2nd proposal: full day, with own picnic lunch, cost 8.00 Euro each
- Visit the farm
- Discovering ancient varieties of fruit
- Blossom and harvesting of our fruit
- Methods of conservation: bottling in syrup and various kinds of preserve or jam
- 11.00 am workshop with biscuits filled with fruit

3rd proposal: full day with lunch on the farm, cost 13.00 Euro each
- Visit the farm
- Discovering ancient varieties of fruit
- Blossom and harvesting of our fruit

- 10.00 am tasting with tea and jam tart

1st proposal: half day, 5.00 Euro each
- Discovering traditions, habits and customs of the Middle Ages.
- Possibility of visiting the "Grape-pressing Museum" in the cellars of the castle.
- Processing wool: from the sheep to the dyer.

2nd proposal: full day with own picnic, 8.00 Euro each
- Discovering traditions, habits and customs of the Middle Ages.
- Possibility of visiting the "Grape-pressing Museum" in the cellars of the castle.
- Processing wool: from the sheep to the dyer.
- workshop of mediaeval panini

3rd proposal: full day with lunch on the farm, 13.00 Euro each
- Discovering traditions, habits and customs of the Middle Ages.
- Possibility of visiting the "Grape-pressing Museum" in the cellars of the castle.
- Processing wool: from the sheep to the dyer.
- 10.00 am tasting with tea and walnut bread.
- 11.00 am workshop with mediaeval panini.
- 12.30 lunch with pumpkin tortelli and sausages with chestnuts.
- At the end of the day participants will receive a gift of baked products from the farm.
