San Polo di Podenzano – 2nd Festa del Saviotto

From Friday 28 to Monday 31 July 2017 at San Polo near Podenzano the second Festa del Saviotto, a variety of cured meat created and produced by a local salumificio (meat curer) from whom it has taken its name.
Four festival evenings at the sports field have been organised with music for all ages, from the young people's evening on Friday 28 July, which opens the fair, to the evenings of dancing with liscio orchestras.
Every evening, from 7 p.m. food stands offering typical traditional dishes, including the ‘Saviotto’, a variant of the fiocco of ham (or shoulder), seasoned according to the process for prosciutto crudo, to which this festa is dedicated.
New in 2017 at the fair are the tortelli with a filling of Saviotto.
Programme of the evenings:
Friday 28 July 2017 - young people's evening, E.B. Revival band with dance 80/90 followed by dj set with Kikko;
Saturday 29 July 2017 - dance evening with the Orchestra Emanuela Bongiorni;
Sunday 30 July 2017 – evening with the Orchestra Giorgio & Ikebana;
Monday 31 July 2017 – dance evening with the Orchestra Fabio Cozzani.
Free entry on the evening of Friday 28 July 2017. On the evenings of Saturday 29, Sunday 30 and Monday 31 July 2017, entrance ticket of 2 euro.
