Gariga di Podenzano – Un PO di blu
On Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 September 2017 the event 'Un PO di blu' will take place at Gariga near Podenzano, at the Corte agricola La Faggiola.

The two days will be filled with events dedicated to the Festival of River Fish and Sustainable Tourism, with a gastronomic presentation of the Po and the valleys of Piacenza. The tourist itineraries of the province of Piacenza will be presented, with workshops for adults and children, cooking show, music, videos and tastings.

The event - which aims to promote and enhance the district and its particularities - is the third of four moments of the series 'I Colori del Gusto' which began in May and will end on 26 November with the products of the forests and mountains.

Saturday 16 September 2017 will concentrate on the conference 'Il valore dell’acqua - The value of water', organised by the Consorzio di Bonifica piacentino while Sunday 17 September 2017 will see events and debates on tourism, with the star chef Maria Grazia Soncini as the principal guest.

The Programme

Saturday 16 September 2017
At 5 p.m. conference ‘Il valore dell’acqua’ (The value of water), organised by the Consorzio di Bonifica of Piacenza.
At 6 p.m. aperitivo with tasting of Grana Padano of three different agings combined with DOC wines of the Colli Piacentini.
At 7 p.m., dinner in Corte organised by Claudia and Emanuela Cattivelli of the Antica Trattoria Da Cattivelli at Isola Serafini and with specialities of the Bottega Pavesi.
At 9 p.m., Dj set ‘Le mille bolle Blù’ with Roberto Dassoni and Danilo Filios.

Sunday 17 September 2017
From 10.30 a.m.: Food and craft market. Wooden toys and games with the ‘Truccioli Monelli’.
Window on the sustainable tourist routes, to discover slow itineraries through the province of Piacenza: bike paths, hiking trail, boating possibilities and other itineraries to follow gently on foot, cycling, on horseback or sailing on the great river.
Slow food corner with tasting of marinaded eel from the Valli di Comacchio presented by the producers.

At 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.: workshop for children (from 4 and over) ‘Mostri nel Blù’, organised by Arti e Pensieri. Booking advised: (+39) 340 6160854.
At 11.30 a.m.: cookery workshop ‘Impariamo a cucinare i Pisarei e fasö’ with Eataly.

From 12 noon on for the rest of the day: ‘Si mangia in Corte’ with fried small river fish, oysters and other specialities of the Ostricaio. Catfish and fried frogs at the Bottega Pavesi. DOP cured meats and Grana Padano DOP. Wines of the Colli piacentini and artisanal ice cream.

In the afternoon:
From 3 p.m.: conference ‘Parliamo di turismo sostenibile', organised by the GAL del Ducato.
At 4 p.m.: Literary gathering ‘Il senso dell’acqua’, with the authors Michele Marziani and Stefano Rossini.
At 5 p.m.: Talk show on the cuisine of the Po with the chefs Maria Grazia Soncini of the Capanna di Eraclio and Athos Migliari Adalberto of La Chiocciola.

At 6 p.m. aperitivo blues with Paolo Bonfanti and Roberto Bongianino and tastings of Grana Padano DOP of three different agings served with DOC wines of Piacenza.
At 8 p.m. announcement of the winner of the competition ‘Notte in Castello’ (a stay for two people of one night at the Locanda del Re Guerriero connected to the castle of San Pietro in Cerro).
At 8.30 p.m. Star dinner with dishes prepared by the chefs Maria Grazia Soncini and Athos Migliari Adalberto.
