As is wellknown, in the Middle Ages the castles were the setting of musical entertainments and dances accompanying noble banquets and as celebrations of victories and battles.
Music has always been at the centre of great events, such as the exclusive receptions organised by noble families and, in later centuries, by the upper middle class
The Castle of Gropparello offers a guided visit looking at the splendid musical instruments kept in the castle, so as to invite visitors to relive the splendours of the Middle Ages, letting themselves be transported between parties at court, salons and thetres up until the fascinations of the nineteenth century.
Cost of guided visits with obligatory booking:
10 euro per person
On Sundays and holidays, reduced ticket of 8 euro for children between 3 and 12.
