The food and wine event, 'I Sapori del Borgo', dedicated to local produce, returns to Ponte dell'Olio on Sunday 11 November 2018.
This is the 20th edition of the event. Between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. quality gastronomic products will be on display in the Borgo, and tastings too. The official opening will be at 11 a.m. with the band of Ponte dell'Olio in procession with the majorettes and minimajorettes; at 12 noon the procession will reach piazza Primo Maggio, where the traditional ceremony of slicing the giant salame cotto will take place.
On the occasion of this event, the Area camper Nure near piazzale Albertelli will be officially opened at 11.30 a.m.; this is the latest development in the context of sustainable tourism in the territory of Ponte dell'Olio.
It will be possible to have lunch in the town, with special menus offered by the restaurants. The shops will be open to the public on this occasion.
In addition, at the Parco Villa Rossi, it will be possible to visit the area 'Legninvalle e agricoltura di montagna in tour', between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., free entry, and to watch demonstrations on site.
In the afternoon, truffle hunting competition with dogs (from 2 p.m. at the stand 'Tartufo nero di Piacenza - black Truffle of Piacenza') and workshop Maninpasta (at 2.30 p.m. organised by the Società Operaia).
At 4 p.m. the moment of marking with a brand the pancette 'Riserva del Borgo' and at 6.30 p.m. conclusion of the event with the award of prizes to the best exhibitors along the Via del Gusto.
The event has been organised by the association for promotion of the territory PontEventi and by the Comune of Ponte dell'Olio with the collaboration of salumifici, companies and associations.
