Church of San Giovanni Battista e Sant'Antonino at Castione
Parish church of Castione
The ancient parish church dedicated to Sant'Antonino Martire collapsed when a landslide swept it away, along with the houses built next to it.
The Counts Salvatico then decided to make their private chapel, dedicated to San Giovanni Battista, available to the parish. The present parish church maintains the dedication to both the saints.
The church has a 19th-century façade but the structure of the building dates from the 17th century.
Inside the church is divided into a nave and narrow aisles with side chapels.
There are good frescoes of the school of Bibiena, restored last century.
