Church of San Lorenzo in Ciriano near Carpaneto
Parish Church of Ciriano
Built during the 17th century (to replace an old pieve or district church which stood at Ponte San Giacomo which had burnt down) thanks to the lords of the place, the noble Bracciforti family.
The church, altered in later years, today has a neoclassical façade, a tall tower dating from the 1930s and a cupola covered in copper with a lantern.
The interior, a single nave flanked by chapels, was decorated by Alberto Aspetti in the early 20th century.
