Founded in the 1940s in the Parish of Santi Germano e Giovanni Bosco, the Schola Cantorum of Podenzano today counts 35 voices and is led by Maestro Edoardo Mazzoni
Directed by Anna Solinas, soloist soprano of the Quartetto Jobell of Piacenza
Alongside sacred music, the choir also performs pieces from opera and contemporary music, and the traditional songs of Piacenza

Musical Band of Carpaneto Piacentino
The “LA COPPA” Musical Folklore Group is a non-profit musical association based in Carpaneto Piacentino. It is formed only by volunteer amateur music-lovers and performs band music on patriotic, religious and folklore occasions.
In 1961 the small village of San Damiano in the municipality of San Giorgio Piacentino hit the headlines after a presumed apparition of the Madonna to a peasant woman, signora Rosa Quattrini.
In 1496 the Madonna appeared to a shepherd girl near an oak tree on the hill known as the Colle dei Frati near Bettola. News of the apparition led to the birth of a deeply felt popular cult.
