The last weekend of September every year the Festa del Fungo is held in San Giorgio Piacentino, with the Palio del Fungaiolo (Mushroom-Hunter`s Trophy), an event that you will find really gets you involved. In addition to an exhibition of the products of the undergrowth, the food stalls and various other events, the fair includes a challenge to the last mushroom between expert mushroom-hunters divided into teams.
