Zena

Not far from Carpaneto, surrounded by cultivated fields, 78 m above sea level, is Zena, an ancient village that today has fewer than 200 inhabitants. The area of Zena has been inhabited since the most ancient times (remains have been found here going back to the Palaeolithic Age). Today the bucolic village is marked by the castle (of ancient origin, today it is privately owned) and the 18th-century parish church. The district is divided into prosperous farms, almost all of which have the name of a saint.
