Lake Nero and Mont Bue
After a slight ascent the path continues in the woods. Before arriving at Lago Nero there is a large mire full of flora, from rowan to crocus, to snowdrop, orchid and elder, up to the gentian. In swamps there are red frogs, tritons and salamanders, whereas in the lake you can find tenches, carps and trouts.
The basin is of glacial origin as witnessed by the famous mountain pine, a surviving colony of glaciers from ten millions years ago.
You can see beech woods and white pines, last survivors in Emilia Romagna and protected by the law as the whole flora of the lake.
