Piacenziano Geological and natural reserve

Near Gropparello, along Rio Rosello you can find one of the nine areas of the natural reserve of Piacenziano. The sererve was set up in 1995 to protect some areas with important geological and paleontological finds. The aim of the reserve is not just geological but also bothanic, to preserve all plant life.

here below the 9 areas: rio Rosello (Gropparello), Badagnano (Carpaneto), rio Stramonte, rio Carbonaro, Montezago e monte Giogo (Lugagnano), monte Padova e torrente Arda (Castell'Arquato) e monte La Ciocca (Vernasca).
