Castle of Turro
The Castle stood on the site occupied today by the Villa Della Cella. Probably it was the monks of San Savino who built the fortification to defend their lands in the area. We then find it belonging to various noble families, such as the Coppalati, Nicelli, Cornazzano, and Anguissola. About the middle of the 17th century the Da Pusterla transformed the old castle into a country home.
Two centuries later the della Cella transformed it into a neoclassical villa. Today it is privately owned.
